So I run across this guy on twitter. Let’s call him Looks Layne. He follows me and I always follow back, so I did. After a few weeks, I found that “Looks” liked to fight with just about everyone, but especially fellow-conservatives. I grew quickly bored with him and unfollowed, and after a week or two he unfollowed me too. Fair enough. I thought I was done with the never-ending battles he needed to engage in, but I was wrong. Someone in my feed felt the need to RT this battle I just wanted to avoid into my timeline regularly. At my most aggravated, I said, “I don’t know who this character ‘looks layne ‘ is and why he’s fighting with Breitbart people but …
It wasn’t an insult to anyone, unless ‘Looks’ felt slighted by the fact that I had no idea who he was, or, rather, who he thinks he is. Turns out. he believes he’s a tea party founder, so he is a very important man. But i guess if you have to keep telling folks how important you are, you’re probably not that important.
After a brief argument, ‘Looks’ blocked me, because when you’re “in the trenches”, you need to watch your back.
